Welcome to the Dumfries Model Car Club Home Site.

We are a  small club situated in  the town of Dumfries

Dumfries is a market town  in Galloway  which is in the borders of Scotland. 

We race both on and off road 1/10th scale electric cars. The off road racing takes place at our own track at Kingholm Quay on the outskirts of Dumfries  whilst our on road racing takes place  at  Bookers car park Dumfries.

Until this year our off road racing has consisted of two classes 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive. However this year we are introducing a new class called stock. Basically these will be unmodified off road vehicles  running with stock  motors.

On road racing has two classes stock and saloon.

In stock class the cars must run a stock motor ,have a mechanical speed controller and are allowed very little modification from their "Out of the box spec."

Saloon car racing cars have modified motors , electronic speed controllers, can be two or four wheel drive and are allowed extensive modification and uprating of their components.

This year we are also hoping to introduce 1/10th scale On road Nitro racing.

As the season progresses we will be posting the race results and leaderboard.
